About the workplace

Corner Burgers & Grill has been in Västervik since 1979 and is one of Sweden's most well-known hamburger restaurants. In recent years, we have fully invested in smash burgers and modern fast food, with a high tempo, digital orders, and a strong focus on teamwork.

For many, Corner is the perfect first job. Here, you learn to take responsibility, work in a team, and handle a high work pace – for real. The pace is not controlled by us, but by our guests. It is the customers who set the speed, and therefore it is crucial that the team in the kitchen and at the cash register works well together.

We work with drive-in, digital orders via various delivery services, online orders, and express checkouts. This makes the job varied, intense, and very educational.

We are an engaged and food-loving team of about 15 people who work every day to give our guests a truly great experience – both in terms of food and service. Our guiding principles are joy, customer focus, and having fun at work.

About the position

We are now looking for five summer workers for the summer of 2026. We would like you to start working extra before the summer, mainly on weekends. This gives you the opportunity to learn the job step by step, find your pace, and feel secure in the role before the summer kicks off.

During weekends and periods of high demand, it is especially important that we are a close-knit team. When everything flows smoothly, a strong team spirit arises and a real boost in work. You can immediately see how important it is to help each other, push each other, and work towards the same goal.

After the summer, there is an opportunity to continue working extra as needed, especially on weekends.

Job responsibilities

The job responsibilities include preparing and cooking food, working at the cash register and drive-in, handling digital orders, unpacking goods, opening and closing the restaurant, and cleaning as a natural part of the job.

Working hours

The work is scheduled and can include day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. The restaurant is open every day of the week, with late-night hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

Qualifications

You do not need previous experience in a restaurant. The most important thing is your attitude. You should be able to work well with others, handle a high pace, and want to contribute to the group functioning well.

You should be able to speak Swedish and be ready to take responsibility. Many start working with us at the age of 15–16, and we see Corner as a great start to working life.
